General description

The "Point Processes and their Applications" conference is an international conference on a broad scope of topics around point processes.

It will focus on various branches of probability theory and statistics, such as random geometry (for example, random graphs and random tesselations), topological data analysis (persistence diagrams, simplicial complexes),

computational geometry (data simulation) and extreme value theory (Poisson approximations, extreme value statistics).

Registration is open until February 15th, 2026.

Organisation committee

The organization committee is comprised of Rémi Bardenet (CRISTAL), Nicolas Chenavier (ULCO), David Coupier (IMT Nord Europe), Serguei Dachian (Univ de Lille), Michel Davydov (ULCO), David Dereudre (Univ de Lille),

Benoit Henry (IMT Nord Europe) and Lucas Reding (UPHF).

Practical information

The conference will take place from Wednesday, March 25th at 10am until Friday, March 27th at 12:30pm at the Institut Mines-Télécom Nord-Europe in Lille.

Lunch will be provided all three days (with a takeaway option for Friday lunch). The conference dinner will take place on Thursday evening (location provided later).

The conference will also feature a cocktail event on Wednesday evening after the last talk.

To get to IMT Nord-Europe:

By public transport : From the Lille city center (or the Lille train stations), take Metro line 1 until the stop "Cité Scientifique" (direction "4 cantons"). The map below provides a possible itinerary for the end of the trip.

By car : From Paris, Dunkerque or Lille, join A22 south of Lille, then take the exit 2b "CITE SCIENTIFIQUE". Continue straight ahead until the roundabout, then turn left into avenue Paul Langevin.

Turn left into rue Guglielmo Marconi, and there is a parking in front of the IMT building. From Valenciennes or Bruxelles, follow N227 when getting close to Lille, then taking exit 2 "CITE SCIENTIFIQUE".

Go straight at the roundabout and continue straight all the way to avenue Paul Langevin, turn left, then turn left again into rue Guglielmo Marconi as described previously.
